High pressure is over the west and if anything might get a little stronger by the end of the week (see map below). The inland areas of Northern California will be mostly sunny. Today and Sunday there will be isolated thunderstorms east of the Sierra Cascade Crest. Temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees above normal and maybe a little hotter by the end of the week. Winds will become southerly in the afternoon.
