This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

The high pressure ridge over the western U.S. has weakened a little and shifted a little  eastward.  This won't do much for Northern California.  Low clouds shroud the coast, but inland expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures 8 to 12 degrees above normal for at least the next week.  There will be isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms along and east of the Sierra Cascade Crest.  Winds will increase in the afternoon from the south.
