This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

The high pressure ridge has once again taken up residence just off the west coast.  This morning's satellite picture compared to the forecast weather map below for Monday show little change.  There will be a few clouds today and early Thursday from a frontal system dropping southeastward across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.  There could also be a few light showers over the higher elevations north and east of the valley  Temperatures today will be near or a few degrees above normal and there will be gusty north winds.

Thursday through at least the mid part of next week the north state will see mostly sunny skies with a few clouds Sunday and early Monday.  Temperatures will continue above normal with the warmest weather Friday through Sunday when daytime temperatures will be 10 tp 15 degrees above normal.  Gusty north winds will occur Thursday and again late Sunday through Tuesday.

  1. These north winds have been here all winter and have kept it very chilly. I can't remember a winter where that High has stuck in that position. Where the low goes over the top just keeping that North wind active for so long. Thank you
