Today will be partly cloudy with near normal temperatures. South winds will increase in the afternoon. The low pressure area and frontal system shown on this morning's satellite picture (below) is moving east and will reach the coast Thursday. Rain is expected Thursday turning to scattered showers Friday. Snow levels will be 4000 to 5000 feet Thursday lowering to 2500 to 3500 feet in the north Friday. Snow levels south will remain 4000 to 5000 feet. Partly sunny with a few clouds Saturday and early Sunday with temperatures remaining below normal. Gusty north winds will occur.
Clouds will begin to increase late Sunday. Monday we will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with a few showers north and east of the valley, as a low pressure trough moves through the Pacific Northwest (see map below).
Tuesday high pressure rebuilds along the west coast and will remain there through at least the end of the week. Skies will be clear with above normal temperatures. Gusty north winds are expected Tuesday through early Thursday.
