A low pressure area and frontal system are currently moving through the Pacific Northwest. The southern end of this system is bringing clouds to Northern California with isolated light showers north and east of the valley. The system will be east of our area by afternoon and skies will be clearing.
Tuesday through the weekend we will have a high pressure ridge off the coast. The jetstream will run over the top off the ridge and into the Great Basin (see map below). Northern California will be mostly sunny. There will be a few clouds Wednesday as another storm moves by to our north. Temperatures will be above normal and periods of gusty north winds are expected.
