Well the high pressure ridge is back and our chances of rain anytime in the next week are pretty much zero. This time high is off the coast as the satellite picture and forecast map below show. While the high is further west than is has been, it is still close enough to keep us dry. Low pressure areas or storms will move over the high and drop across western Canada into the Great Basin. The north state will be mostly clear with a few clouds at times over the mountains north and east of the valley. Temperatures will be a few degrees above normal and there will be periods of gusty north winds.
The longer range forecast models show a chance of precipitation next Monday or Tuesday.
