This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
A weak frontal system is now exiting the north state. The rain will turn to showers this morning and end in the late afternoon. Snow levels will be 5000 to 6000 feet.
Tuesday and Wednesday skies will be mostly clear with temperatures near or slightly above normal. Winds will be light.
Clouds begin to increase Thursday as a low pressure trough develops along the coast (see map below). This is not a strong trough but will push the jetstream (storm track) over Northern California which will allow weak frontal systems to move through our area. Expect light rain Thursday afternoon through midday Friday with scattered showers Friday afternoon through midday Saturday. Snow levels will be 5000 to 6000 feet.
Skies clear Sunday with partly to mostly sunny skies through at least early next week.
