This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

A frontal system is now moving onto the coast and will move rapidly across Northern California today.  This system will bring light rain to the area with the snow levels 5000 to 6000 feet.  The precipitation ends by evening and skies will be clearing.  Thursday looks partly to mostly sunny with near normal temperatures and light winds.

A slightly stronger frontal system will bring more rain to the north state Thursday night and Friday (see map below).  Snow levels will be near 5000 feet.  This system will be east of the area by Friday night.  There will be a few lingering clouds around Saturday with near normal temperatures and light north winds.

Sunday the high pressure ridge begins to push northward over California.  This will push the next frontal system northward.  We will see a few clouds Sunday but no rain.   The high will get stronger next week and this will bring a prolonged period of dry weather with above normal temperatures.
