This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
The high pressure ridge is continuing to build or push northward along the coast. A frontal system continues to slide across the top of the ridge. This front will bring scattered showers to the north state this morning. Skies will begin clearly later today as the front finally moves eastward.
A fairly strong high pressure ridge will continue through at least the middle of next week (see map below). Skies will be mostly clear, except for a few clouds Friday as another frontal system move by to our north. Temperatures will be above normal. Winds will be light with gusty north winds moving into the area late Sunday through early Tuesday.
Longer range models show a shift to a colder and possibly wetter pattern by the end of next week.
