This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

Wetter weather is on the way.  A weak high pressure system is still over the western U.S. but will be gone by Thursday.  Today through Wednesday skies will be partly to mostly sunny with a few mid and high clouds at times from fronts moving by to our north.  Daytime temperatures will be normal of slightly above.  Tonight will be cold with some areas in the north end of the valley reaching freezing.

Clouds begin increasing Thursday as the first of several frontal systems approach the coast (see map below).  Rain will spread over the north state late Thursday and Friday with snow levels near 5000 feet.  Saturday will have partly cloudy skies with showers mainly over the mountains.  Another frontal system will bring precipitation to Northern California Sunday and Monday.
