A fairly strong high pressure ridge is now over the west and looks like it might last for the next 2 weeks (see map below). During this time the north state will be mostly clear with a few mid and high clouds. Daytime temperatures will be above normal. Gusty north winds will occur Tuesday and early Wednesday.

Good morning olde forcaster. We have heard little or nothing about El nino or La nina this fall, and I was wondering if they had fallen off the radar just as North Korea's Kim Jong has. RMG
ReplyDeleteWell looks like big trouble for this winter. Those double Highs will keep any rain well away from us. My question is with that high in the Pacific is there any weather out there? Happy Holidays to you and family.
ReplyDeleteWe are now in a weak La Nina. Not much correlation on what the winter would bring. Not much chance of rain in the models, maybe a weak system around the 10th and then dry again.
