Weather Discussion for Monday Nov. 23, 2020

Normal high/ low temperatures for Nov 23-Nov 30  (high/low) Redding 60/38, Chico 61/38, Quincy 51/26, Chester 46/23, Susanville 48/25, Grass Valley 57/33, Weaverville 53/30, Mt. Shasta 48/28, Yreka 49/28, Alturas 48/21

This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.

 Today will be sunny with slightly above normal temperatures and light winds.  Late Tuesday and Wednesday a low pressure trough and frontal system will move into the Pacific Northwest (see map below).  This system will bring a few clouds and cooler temperatures.  Light rain or showers will occur along the north coast, and Trinity, Siskiyou, northern Shasta and Modoc counties.  

Thursday through at least early next week high pressure will be along and over the west coast.  The north state will be mostly sunny with temperatures warming to 5 to 10 degrees above normal by the weekend.  Gusty north winds will occur in some areas Thursday and Friday.
