Sunny today with temperatures above normal. Winds will be light this morning but will be increasing from the southwest to northwest in the afternoon. High pressure is off the coast. The low pressure area shown on this morning's satellite picture (below) over western Canada will move into Nevada Sunday and then move eastward late Monday and Tuesday. This low will cool temperatures back to near normal Sunday and Monday. The main feature will be the winds. Sunday and Monday we will have very strong and gusty northeast to east winds over all Northern California with gusts 50 to 60 mph in some areas. The winds will begin to decrease late Monday and will end by late Tuesday.
Wednesday through the weekend high pressure will be over our area (see map below). We will see clear skies with a few clouds late Friday and Saturday from a front passing by to our north. Temperatures will 12 to 18 degrees above normal Wednesday and Thursday and then cool a few degrees Friday and Saturday. Winds will be relatively light.
