Hot again today with high temperatures around 10 degrees above normal.  There will be some afternoon cumulus clouds over the mountains north and east of the valley with isolated thunderstorms.  Winds will increase from the south in the afternoon.

Still no sign of the strong high pressure ridge moving or weakening (see map below).  Other than the chance of afternoon thunderstorms Tuesday along and east of the Sierra Cascade Crest skies will be clear for the next week.  Temperatures will be near normal Tuesday and Wednesday but will warm back to above normal for Friday and the weekend. Winds will be light nights and mornings with south to southwest winds in the afternoons.
