This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

Here we are over half way through June and Redding has had only one day of 100 degree weather.  If you have wondered when our normal "north valley" summer will start, the answer is tomorrow.   High pressure is beginning to develop over California and the west coast and will hold there for at least the next week (see map below).  Today we will have sunny skies with near normal temperatures and gusty north winds.

Thursday through next week we will see mostly sunny skies with some high clouds this weekend from a front going by to our north.  High temperatures will be 6 to 12 degrees above normal.  The gusty north winds will end by midday Friday with mostly light winds after that.
