The low pressure trough that brought showers and thunderstorms to the area is moving slowly eastward. This morning we will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a few showers over the higher elevations and chance of a sprinkle in the north end of the valley. Clouds will be decreasing in the afternoon with any shower activity confined to the areas east of the valley. Temperatures today will be quite a bit below normal. light to moderate southwest to west winds are expected.
Sunday looks partly sunny with temperatures warmer but still below normal. Winds will be light. Monday and early Tuesday a low pressure area will move across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest (see map below). This system will bring clouds to the north state and keep the temperatures a little below normal.
Tuesday afternoon high pressure begins rebuilding over the west coast and this high will dominate our weather through at least next weekend. Skies will be clear. Temperatures will be warming and will be above normal by Wednesday. Gusty north winds will occur from late Tuesday through midday Thursday.
