This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

High pressure is along and over the west coast and will.hold there through Thursday afternoon.  During this time skies will be mostly sunny.  Temperatures today will be a few degrees below normal with temperatures Tuesday through Thursday normal or a few degrees above.  Winds will be light.

Thursday afternoon a low pressure trough will be approaching the coast and will move across the north state on Friday (see map below). This system will bring scattered showers to our area Thursday night through Friday evening.  Most of the activity will be in the foothills and mountains but there should be a few light showers in the valley from Chico northward.

High pressure bounces back over the area on the weekend.  This will clear tnings out and bring temperatures back to near normal by Sunday and Monday.
