This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

The low pressure area that brought showers and thunderstorms to Northern California has moved eastward.  Today we will have partly to mostly sunny skies.  Temperatures will warm but still be below normal and winds will be light.  Thursday and Friday the areas north and east of Redding will see a few clouds as a low pressure area slides from the Pacific Northwest into the Great Basin.  The rest of the north state will be sunny.  Temperatures will be slightly below normal.  West to northwest winds will begin to increase Thursday afternoon with gusty north winds on Friday.

Saturday through at least the mid part of next week high pressure will over the state (see map below).  Skies will be clear and temperatures will be above normal.  Light to moderate north winds will occur at times.
