This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

A week ago we were talking about cooler and showers.   Now it looks like we going into a typical summer weather pattern.  The high pressure area over the weather U.S. will get stronger and by mid week there will be large high pressure area over the western U.S. (see map below).  Today through Friday skies will be clear.  Temperatures will be warming  with high temperatures in the north end of the valley in upper 90s to 105 Tuesday through Thursday.  Light to moderate north winds will occur in some areas today and Sunday with light winds Monday throuigh Thursday.

The map below shows a low pressure area off the Southern California coast.  This low is moving northward and will move across Northern California next weekend.  Friday we will see increasing clouds with temperature cooling a few degrees.  Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms mainly over the mountains.
