This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

A high pressure ridge is over California and is beginning to push or build northward.  This high pressure area will dominate our weather through the weekend (see map below).  Today and Tuesday Northern California will be partly to mostly sunny with a few clouds from fronts going by to our north.  Temperatures will be normal of slightly above.  Winds will be light.

Wednesday through the weekend the north state will be sunny.  Temperatures will be warming and will be 10 to 15 degrees above normal by the weekend.  Gusty north winds will occur Wednesday through Friday afternoon.

Early next week the low pressure area shown to our west on the map below will move close enough to the coast to bring a little cooling and maybe trigger some afternoon and evening mountain showers and thunderstorms.
