This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

High pressure is along the coast.  Today and Thursday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds over the mountains.  Temperatures will be normal to a few degrees below.  Light to moderate north winds will occur in some areas.

Clouds will begin to increase Friday afternoon as a low pressure area approaches the coast.  This system will reach the coast Saturday and then linger there through Sunday and early Monday (see map below).   Periods of rain will start Friday night and continue through Sunday.  Monday will see partly cloudy skies and showers with the showers ending by evening.  Snow levels start out near 5000 feet but will drop to 3500 to 4000 feet late Sunday and Monday.  Gusty south winds start late Friday and continue through Saturday.

The low will start dropping southward Monday afternoon as high pressure builds along the coast.  Tuesday through the end of the week look mostly clear with temperatures warming to near normal by Wednesday.  Gusty north winds are expected.
