This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

The low pressure area off the coast is moving slowly eastward and will move across Southern California Tuesday.  Today Northern California will be partly cloudy over the foothills and mountains with isolated showers and mostly sunny in the valley.

Tuesday through Friday the northstate will be mostly sunny with above normal temperatures.  Gusty north winds will occur in some areas late Wednesday and Thursday.

Late Friday a low pressure area will begin to drop southward along the Canadian coast (see map below).  This low will be off the Northern California coast by Saturday afternoon and then move across Northern California late Saturday and Sunday.   The low will bring colder air into the north state along with scattered light showers.

Skies clear late Sunday with mostly clear weather expected for the start of next week.
