A low pressure trough and frontal system are approaching the coast.  This system will bring rain to Northern California tonight and Tuesday with showers, mainly over the mountains Wednesday.  Snow levels will be 3500 to 4000 feet.  Gusty south to southwest winds are expected later today and Tuesday.

Thursday we will have partly to mostly sunny skies with temperatures slightly below normal.  Winds will be light.

Friday afternoon and Saturday the southern end of a weak low pressure trough will brush the north end of the state (see map below).  This system will bring a few clouds to the area with scattered light showers in the mountains.

Sunday through early next week look partly to mostly sunny with near normal temperatures.
