This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

Not a lot of change.  High pressure is still off the coast.  Today will be mostly sunny with temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above normal the gusty north winds will diminish this afternoon. There will be a few mid and high clouds Thursday as a frontal system passes by to our north.  Temperatures will cool a little and winds will be light.  Friday and part of Saturday look clear with temperatures a few degrees above normal.  Winds will be light.

Clouds will begin to increase late Saturday.   Sunday a weak low pressure trough will move through the Pacific Northwest with the southern end brushing Northern California (see map below).  We will see a few clouds with light showers possible over the higher elevations.

Monday through at least Wednesday high pressure will rebuild along the west coast.  Skies will be clear and temperatures will be back to 5 to 10 degrees above normal by midweek.  Gusty north winds will occur Monday through Wednesday afternoon.

Longer range maps do show the ridge weakening but not enough to allow stronger storms to pass through our area.
