This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

The low pressure area is now over Southern California...see satellite picture below...and moving eastward.  Today we will be mostly sunny with some clouds south of Redding from the low.  Temperatures will continue above normal.  Light to moderate north winds are expected.

Sunday through the Saturday high pressure will be along the coast (see map below).  Skies will clear with a few high clouds.  Temperatures Tuesday through Thursday will be 12 to 16 degrees above normal.  Periods of moderate north winds will occur.

Another low pressure trough will approach the coast late Saturday and Sunday.   This system will also split apart and the southern portion will go into Central and Southern California.  The north state will see some clouds and cooler temperatures.
