This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

High pressure remains just off the coast.  Today through Wednesday Northern California will see mostly clear skies with temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above normal.  Gusty north winds will decrease Wednesday.

Thursday there will be a few mid and high clouds from a low pressure trough passing by to our north.  Temperatures will cool a few degrees and winds will be light.

Friday and Saturday will be clear.  Temperatures will be normal or a few degrees above.  Winds will be light.

Late Saturday and Sunday a weak low pressure trough will weaken the ridge and move across the north state (see map below).  This system will bring clouds to our area with light rain over the higher elevations and a chance of light showers in the valley.  Light to moderate south winds will precede this system.

Skies clear our Monday as the high pressure area rebuilds along the coast.
