The low pressure trough is along the coast and moving eastward. This system sent one band of light showers across Northern California last night and this morning's satellite picture (below) shows another weak band approaching the coast. Today will be partly cloudy with showers over the foothills and mountains. Snow levels will be 4000 to 5000 feet.
Sunday through early Tuesday we will see mostly sunny skies with near normal temperatures. Winds will be light.
Late Tuesday another weak low pressure trough will move through the area (see map below). This system will bring clouds and light showers to the north state late Tuesday and Wednesday. Snow levels will be 4000 to 5000 feet.
Skies clear out again Thursday and Friday and then a slightly stronger low pressure trough will move into the area late Saturday and Sunday.
