Still a lot of clouds lingering over Northern California. Today will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light showers over the higher elevations. There will be drizzle or light showers in the valley and elsewhere this morning.
This morning's satellite picture (below) shows a low pressure area and frontal system off the coast. This system is moving eastward and will bring rain to the north state tonight and Sunday. Snow levels will be 6000 feet.
Monday and Tuesday skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy. There will be a few light showers Monday afternoon and Tuesday over the higher elevations and across the north end of the valley. Snow levels will continue high.
Wednesday through Saturday a high pressure ridge will be along the coast (see map below). The north state will see partly to mostly clear skies with a few clouds at times from storms moving by to our north. There will be night and morning fog in the valleys.
It looks like another low pressure trough will move through late Saturday and Sunday.
