This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

Frontal systems are moving across the Pacific toward the Pacific Northwest.   The southern end of these systems will brush the northern end of California.  Today and Tuesday we will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered light showers over the foothills and mountains with isolated showers in the north end of the valley.  Snow levels will be 5000 to 6000 feet.  Wednesday there will be a few clouds over the mountains with partly to mostly sunny skies over the valley.  Temperatures Wednesday will be above normal and winds will be light.

Thursday through Saturday high pressure will be along the coast (see map below).  The north state will be mostly sunny with a few clouds in the far north from systems moving into Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.   Temperatures will be 8 to 12 degrees above normal and winds will be light.

Sunday a low pressure area will move through the Pacific Northwest and into the Great Basin.  This will be bring a few clouds to our area with isolated mountain showers.  Temperatures will cool and gusty southwest to northwest are expected.   Monday will be mostly clear with gusty north winds.
