This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

The low pressure area that had been off the coast is finally moving eastward.   The low is moving across Southern California and is pushing clouds northward over our area   Most of the precipitation from this system will be over the southern half of the state.  There will be a brief break Thursday.   However by late Thursday another slow moving low pressure area will be approaching the coast.   This low will move slowly across Northern California Friday and Saturday (see map below).  During this time all of the north state will get light to moderate precipitation.   Snow levels will be 4500 feet north to 6000 feet south.  Sunday we will see a few morning showers.   Monday through midweek look dry and mild.
