This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

Most of the clouds and rain from the low pressure trough moved through yesterday.  This morning's satellite picture (below) shows that part of the low is still off the coast.  This system will bring a few clouds to the area today with isolated showers.

Sunday through early Tuesday the north state will be mostly sunny with near normal temperatures and light winds.

Late Tuesday and Wednesday a very weak low pressure trough will move through Northern California (see map below).  This system will bring clouds with isolated showers mainly over the mountains.  Snow levels will be 4000 to 5000 feet.  Thursday there will still be lingering light showers on the coastal and northern mountains, with the areas to the south partly to mostly clear.

Late Friday and Saturday a stronger storm system will move into the area.
