Weather Discussion for Monday Dec.2, 2019

This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

The low pressure area continues spinning off the coast.  The low will begin to move eastward late Tuesday and be east of our area by Wednesday.  Today there will be rain east and south of Shasta Co. with showers to the north.   Snow levels will be 4000 to 5000 feet north and 6000 feet south. Tuesday there will be scattered showers mainly over the foothills and mountains with most shower activity ending Wednesday.  Snow levels will remain about where they are.

The next low pressure area will slowly approach the coast late Thursday and will bring rain to the north state Friday and Saturday (see map below).  Snow levels will continue 4000 to 5000 feet. The low will be east of the area Sunday and the showers will be ending.  The first part of next week look partly to mostly sunny,
