Weather Discussion for Monday Dec, 16, 2918

Normal high/ low temperatures for Dec-16-Dec 23  (high/low) Redding 56/35, Chico 54/35, Quincy 45/24, Chester 41/20, Susanville 41/22, Grass Valley 52/31, Weaverville 46/28, Mt. Shasta 42/23, Yreka 44/25, Alturas 43/17
  
This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

Sunny today with a few clouds over the mountains.  Temperatures will be near normal with light to moderate north winds in some locations.  Clouds will begin increasing Tuesday afternoon.  Late Tuesday and early Wednesday a very weak low pressure area will bring a few clouds to Northern California with isolated showers over the mountains.

Thursday will be partly to mostly sunny and then Friday a stronger low pressure trough will form along the coast.  This trough will bring periods of rain to the north state late Friday through Monday.   Snow levels will be 3500 to 4500 feet north and 5000 to 6000 feet in the south
