Weather Discussion for Saturday November 30, 2019

Normal high/ low temperatures for Nov 25-Dec 2  (high/low) Redding 59/38, Chico 60/38, Quincy 51/26, Chester 46/24, Susanville 47/25, Grass Valley 56/34, Weaverville 51/31, Mt. Shasta 47/28, Yreka 49/27, Alturas 48/21
  
This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

A low pressure area is off the coast will remain there through Tuesday.  Today through Monday we will have rain with snow levels 1500 feet north and 3000 feet south..rising to 4000 to 5000 north and 6000 feet south by Sunday morning.  The precipitation will turn to showers Tuesday and decrease Wednesday. 

Thursday another low pressure trough will be approaching the coast (see map below)..  This trough will bring rain to the north state Thursday night through early Saturday.  Snow levels will be 4000 to 5000 feet.
