This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

High pressure is off the coast.  Today a low pressure area will drop southward from western Canada into Utah and Nevada.  The combination  of the high pressure area to our west and low pressure to our east will put California is a very strong north to northeast wind pattern.  North to northeast will increase today with very strong winds tonight and Sunday.  The winds will begin to decrease Monday but then will increase again on Tuesday.  Light winds are expected Wednesday afternoon through the weekend.

As the map below shows high pressure is expected to continue in place.   Skies will be clear for the next week.  Temperatures will start to cool but will remain above normal through the week.

  2. Hope not. Some of the longer range climat models indicate the ridge breaking down.
