This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

A weak low pressure trough will move across Northern California today.  This system will bring cooler weather with showers and possible thunderstorms over the foothills and mountains and a few light showers possible in the valley.

Thursday afternoon high pressure will rebuild along and over the west coast.  Thursday through Saturday we will see mostly sunny skies with near normal temperatures and light wind.   Sunday a low pressure trough will pass by to our north with the southern end brushing the north end of California (see map below).  This system could trigger a few showers north of Redding.  Monday through most of next week looks sunny with above normal temperatures.
