This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

A low pressure trough and frontal system are now moving across Northern California.  The heaviest precipitation has moved east of the valley, but there will be isolated showers and possible thunderstorms through this evening.   Tuesday will be partly sunny to partly cloudy.   Another weak low pressure trough will move through the area late Tuesday and Wednesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly over the foothills and mountains.

Thursday through the weekend high pressure will be back along the west coast (see map below).  The north state will be mostly sunny with temperatures back to normal or slightly above.  Gusty north winds will occur at times.
