A weak upper level low pressure trough is moving into the Pacific Northwest.  This system will bring clouds to Northern California today and could fire off a few thunderstorms over the northern mountains late today and Tuesday.  Temperatures today will be below normal with south to southwest winds in the afternoon.

Wednesday through the weekend a weak high pressure ridge will be over the western U.S. (see map below).  The northstate will be mostly clear except for a few high clouds at times from systems moving by to our north.  Temperatures will be 3 to 6 degrees above normal and winds will be light.
