This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

High pressure is holding over the western U.S.  Today and Tuesday will be about like yesterday with sunny skies, temperatures 4 to 8 degrees above normal and light winds.

Wednesday a weak upper level low pressure area will form off the coast (see map below).  This low will trigger showers and thunderstorms over the higher elevations of the north state.  Temperatures will be near normal and winds will be south to southwest during the afternoon and gusty near thunderstorms.

Thursday the low will have moved east and high pressure will be over the area.  Thursday through Saturday looks sunny with above normal temperatures.  Another weak upper level low will try to form off the coast Sunday and Monday.
