The satellite picture below shows the low pressure area is now over the Pacific Northwest. The first band of clouds moved through much of the area early this morning and is now over the areas east of the valley. Today will be partly sunny to partly cloudy with a few showers over the mountains. Temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees below normal and winds will be southwest to northwest.
The low will be over Oregon Sunday and then move east of our area early Monday. During this time the north state will be partly cloudy to partly sunny with showers over the higher elevations and a chance of a light shower in the north end of the valley. Snow levels will be around 5000 feet. Temperature will be cooler than today and winds will be southwest to northwest.
Skies will clear by midday Monday. Tuesday we will see sunny skies with temperatures still below normal. Gusty north winds will occur late Monday and Tuesday.
Sunny and a little warmer Wednesday and then we will see a few clouds Thursday as a low pressure trough passes by to our north (see map below). There could a few light showers near the Oregon border. Friday through the weekend looks sunny with temperatures near normal and light wind.
