Quite a light show last night as the low pressure area neared the coast and triggered showers and thunderstorms.  The low is currently moving onshore at about the Oregon/Calilfornia border and will continue eastward during the day.  The low will continue to bring showers and thunderstorms today to the area north of a line from Clear Lake to Red Bluff to Tahoe.  Skies will clear tonight and Sunday as the low continues east and high pressure tries to rebuild over the west.  Cool today then warming to a few degrees below normal Sunday.

Monday through Wednesday the north state will be sunny with slightly above normal temperatures and light winds.  Thursday through the weekend we will still be mostly sunny but temperatures will cool to normal or a few degrees below due to a weak low pressure area moving into Canada and the Pacific Northwest (see map below).
