The southwest summertime heat high pressure area has finally begin it's late July push northward. Currently the high is over the central and eastern U.S. However, as the map below shows during the next several days it will begin to move back tot he west.
The inland areas of Northern California will be sunny for the next week. Temperatures will be slowly rising and by mid to late week be 4 to 8 degrees above normal. Winds will be light.
