High pressure is still along and over the west coast.  However, over the next several days the high will weaken as a low pressure area moves into Canada (see map below).   The main affects this low will have on Northern California is cooling and gusty winds.   Skies will remain mostly sunny with a few mid and high clouds.   Temperatures will be hot again today but should cool to near normal Thursday through Sunday.   Gusty northwest to north winds will continue through midday Sunday.

Next week things get interesting.  Another low pressure area will drop southward.  However,  the models take this further south through Northern Oregon.  Our temperatures will be normal or below and we will have gusty southwest to  northwest winds.  However, if the low moves a little further south the north state could see a few thunderstorms.
