This morning's satellite picture (below) shows a low pressure system and frontal system off the coast headed toward western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Today Northern California will be sunny with temperatures a little cooler than yesterday.
Thursday the southern end of the frontal system will move through Northern California. The north end of the state will see a few clouds. Temperatures Thursday and Friday will cool back to near normal. Gusty southwest northwest winds will occur Thursday with gusty north winds Friday.
High pressure begins to rebuild over the western U.S. and along the coast on the weekend and then next week the high will continue over the west. The north state will be sunny. Temperatures will bounce back above normal on the weekend and then next week daytime temperatures will be 12 to 18 degrees above normal. The gusty north winds will end early Sunday.
