High pressure is along the west coast. Today Northern California will be sunny with temperatures a little above normal and gusty north winds. Sunday will be about like today but the north winds will decrease in the afternoon.
Monday a low pressure area will begin to drop southeastward from the Gulf of Alaska. This low will move through the Pacific Northwest Wednesday and Thursday (see map below). Monday and Tuesday temperatures will cool and will be below normal by Tuesday. Monday will be sunny with a few mid and high clouds Tuesday. Southwest winds will begin to increase Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday and Thursday the north state will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and possible thunderstorms over the mountains north and east of Redding. Temperatures will continue below normal and there will be gusty southwest to northwest winds.
The low will be moving eastward Friday and high pressure will be rebuilding along the coast. The weekend will be sunny with normal temperatures.
