Weather Discussion for Monday June 10, 2019

Normal high/ low temperatures for June 10-June 17  (high/low) Redding 91/62 Chico 90/57, Quincy 81/42, Chester 76/40, Susanville 79/46, Grass Valley 80/51, Weaverville 84/44, Mt. Shasta 77/45 Yreka 80/45, Alturas 77/41

A high pressure ridge is over the west coast and will be there for the at least the next 10 days (see map below) .   Northern California will be mostly sunny with some afternoon cumulus clouds over the mountains during the afternoons.  Hottest days look like today through Wednesday when high temperatures will be 15 to 18 degrees above normal..   Temperatures will cool somewhat later in the week but still will be above normal.  Winds be light with some increase in afternoon south and southwest winds later in the week.
