This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring
The low pressure area that brought showers to our area yesterday is moving eastward. We will see decreasing clouds today with a few showers east of the Sierra Nevada Crest. A weak high pressure ridge is along the coast and will hold there through Friday. Thursday and most of the Friday the north state will see partly to mostly sunny skies with normal temperatures. Gusty north winds will occur later today and Thursday.
Late Friday an upper level low pressure area will begin to drop southward across the Pacific Northwest and Oregon. This low will be over Northern California Saturday and Sunday (see map below). During this time we will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The low will move east early Monday and nest week looks sunny with slightly above normal temperatures.
