This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring

A high pressure ridge is just off the west coast and will hold there for at least the next week.   Sunday and Monday a weak upper level low pressure area will move under the high pressure area and into Southern California (see map below).  Northern California will be mostly sunny with a few clouds Sunday and Monday as the low moves by to our south.   There could be isolated showers over the Sierra from Mt Lassen southward.   Temperatures will continue a few degrees above normal and winds will be mostly light.....Short version...nice spring weather for the next week.
