The high pressure ridge is off the coast and will remain there for at least the next week. However, if you look at this mornings's satellite picture (below) you can see a weak upper level low pressure area moving under the high pressure ridge and toward Southern California. This low will move across Southern California Sunday afternoon and Monday. Today we will have sunny skies, temperatures will be a few degrees above normal and winds will be light. Sunday and Monday there will be a few clouds mainly over the foothills and mountains with isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms over the mountains. Temperatures will cool and will back to near normal by Monday.
Tuesday through next weekend we will have sunny skies with daytime temperatures 4 to 8 degrees above normal. Light to moderate north winds are expected.
