This blog will be issued every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning and updated if the weather is changing or critical or interesting weather events are occurring.
We will continue in an unsettled and wet pattern for the next week. Today Northern California will be partly cloudy with isolated mountains showers. Thursday and Friday a stronger low pressure trough will move through the area with light to moderate rain. Snow levels will start out high but drop to 5000 feet north and 6000 feet south on Friday. Gusty south winds will occur in some areas Thursday afternoon and Friday.
Saturday and Sunday the north state will be partly cloudy to partly sunny with isolated showers over the mountains. Temperatures will be below normal.
Monday and Tuesday a weak low pressure area will be move through the north state with scattered showers and high snow levels (see map below).
The longer range models show a colder and stronger low pressure area dropping into Northern California next Thursday.
